Opened in 1969, Big Surf changed the waterpark industry forever with one of the nation's first inland wave pools—bringing the thrill of the ocean to the middle of the Sonoran Desert.
From surfing competitions and family vacations to school trips and endless summer memories, Big Surf became a rite of passage for Arizonans and visitors alike.
